What is a baby cot?
Side beds first appeared in America, because there, following the recommendations of leading pediatric experts, they always practiced separate sleeping for children. Later, such cribs appeared in Western countries. They are increasingly popular with parents. In Russia, such cribs appeared relatively recently, but they have won the hearts of many parents.

A newly born child constantly needs attention from his mother. A separate crib for a newborn creates many inconveniences - the mother has to get up and go to her several times a night, which is why parents cannot
have a full rest. Firstly, a newly born baby is used to falling asleep next to his mother, so sometimes it takes a long time to teach him to sleep alone. Secondly, a certain barrier and alienation is created between mother and father. Using a side crib that attaches firmly to mom and dad's bed helps solve all of these problems.
Previously, the father had to remove the wall from a regular crib and figure out how to attach it to his bed. Now, having a baby cot, this problem does not exist. It is only important to choose the appropriate material from which it will be made.
When the child grows a little, an additional crib will very quickly help you teach your baby to fall asleep separately from you, which means that you will be able to teach him independence in time.
How to choose?
When you have already decided to purchase a side bed for your child, you want to choose a quality product. The multitude of options is overwhelming, but it’s important to focus on a few points:
Hygiene
The crib should be such that it can be easily washed. There are some models that are covered with fabric. It creates comfort and beauty, but this fabric is difficult to wash, and it absorbs dirt, dust and liquids. As the baby grows up, he will begin to bite, lick, and chew on the sides. Saliva, which is absorbed into the tissue, creates a favorable environment for the proliferation of various bacteria, microbes and microorganisms.

For a child, excess contact with dirt is unfavorable. Therefore, we can say that fabric-covered cribs are not the best choice.
Material
There are different types of materials, but the most common is wood. There are many types of wood with varying degrees of environmental friendliness, so when choosing, it is important to consider purchasing a crib made from wood species such as pine, oak or birch. These tree species are the most environmentally friendly. The impregnations with which they are processed have a minimal risk of developing allergies.
Reliability
It is necessary to take into account that the bed is an add-on one and you will have to move it often. But it must withstand other loads and mechanical influences: blows from toys, motion sickness, etc. Therefore, it is important to choose a reliable design and manufacturer. When the baby grows up, he will begin to be active, so the sides must withstand the load and not be flimsy.
What material is best for a newborn crib?
Modern production offers a huge selection of children's products, including side beds. First of all, when purchasing, it is important to pay attention to the material from which such a crib is made. Many people have probably noticed that all beds and cribs in hospitals are made of metal. Doctors refer to the fact that metal products are easy to wash and disinfect. Wooden products, in turn, must be treated with varnish, which can have a harmful effect on the child’s health.
Tip of the day! It is best to choose a crib made of natural wood. Products made from pine, oak or birch are currently very well processed, so they cannot harm the baby’s health in any way.
What to look for when choosing an extension crib?
Every mother believes that her baby deserves the best, so choosing a sleeping place is quite a difficult task. First of all, the side crib should be:
- comfortable;
- environmentally friendly;
- safe;
- functional.
Material
Often, parents, when choosing this piece of furniture, stop their eyes on neat small beds with soft sides upholstered in fabric.
It's quite convenient. Soft pastel colors, in which children's furniture is usually made, help the baby calm down and fall asleep faster. The material from which the baby's sleeping place is made should be easy to clean. Manufacturers most often use wood to make cribs. This is an environmentally friendly and safe raw material that does not contain any harmful chemical compounds. It is easy to clean a wooden product from dust and dirt. By the way, only metal beds are installed in medical institutions. This is precisely due to the possibility of their easy cleaning and disinfection.
Helpful advice! It is best to choose a crib made of oak, birch or pine. For such wood, harmless impregnations are used that cannot negatively affect the baby’s health.
Forms and additional functions
In stores that offer a wide range of cribs, you can find attached models of various shapes. Be sure to pay attention to the absence of sharp protrusions and corners. If there are any, the baby can easily hurt himself or get injured. All existing fasteners must be securely hidden and well tightened.
It is also worth paying attention to how much space the manufacturer left between the rods. It should not exceed 70-80 mm. In this case, the baby’s head will not fit in this gap, so there is no need to worry that it will fall out or get stuck.
[sc:rsa]
There are models of add-on cribs where the missing side is included. When the baby grows up, it can be screwed to the crib. This way your baby will get used to sleeping on his own faster. Some manufacturers also offer soft side mattresses as a set for a child's bed. By tying them to the bars of the crib from the inside, you can protect the baby from accidental injury. Models with additional fabric curtains that close with a zipper are quite convenient. If a mother is afraid of accidentally touching her baby while sleeping, this crib option is the best solution. To feed the baby you only need to unfasten the zipper.
What are the advantages of side beds for newborns?
Science has convinced parents that a small child should sleep nearby. Doctors have proven that a baby's breathing during sleep depends on how close the mother is to him. When a newborn hears and feels his mother’s breathing, this helps him cope with sudden respiratory arrest syndrome, which does not happen so rarely.

Add-on cots for small children are very practical and convenient:
- The child feels that his mother is next to him, so he feels complete peace of mind.
- Parents sleep together. Sometimes the father has to go to sleep on the sofa or in another room because the mother puts the child on the bed next to her. This won't happen with a side bed.
- For the child to fall asleep, parents will not need to get up and go to his crib. It will be enough just to reach out and gently stroke his head or lightly tap him on the back.
- This is very convenient for mothers who have had to experience a caesarean section. To lift the baby into your arms, you will not need to bend over, which is very harmful for a woman after such an operation.
- It is easier for a mother to feed her baby when he lies next to her. In such a crib, the baby will be very close to you, so feeding him will be more convenient.
- This crib takes up little space in the room and can be conveniently attached to any model of parent bed.
Important to remember! You need to sleep next to your baby very carefully, because in your sleep you can accidentally spank him with your hand, because at this time it is very difficult to control your body.
DIY add-on crib - brief instructions for dads
You can buy a ready-made add-on crib at any furniture store. However, if you want to save a little money, you can put in a little effort and make your own extension crib. To do this, the first thing you need to do is stock up on materials and tools.
Be sure to first determine the dimensions of the product and make a small drawing. If you already have a ready-made crib mattress, create a structure for it.
Most often, side beds are made of natural wood. You can create your own product design. If nothing comes to mind, you can use ready-made pictures and projects, of which there are a lot on the Internet.
You can contact a professional designer who will develop a design for an additional crib for your baby. Such a service is not cheap. But you can compensate for this disadvantage by making the product yourself.
Scheme
The first step is to process the wood. It is not recommended to use chemical paints or varnish for this purpose. The thing is that when the baby grows up, he will put everything in his mouth, and the bed is no exception. It is enough to sand the solid wood and all structural parts well.
We also recommend that you read in more detail about the best strollers for winter.
To make your own crib you will need:
- rods;
- wooden blocks;
- bottom;
- soft upholstery.
The frame of the structure is created from bars - there should be 11 of them in total (height - 4, width - 4, length - 3). We adjust the resulting elements to the dimensions of the future crib. We outline in advance the places for installing the rods and make holes in them using a drill.
We first calculate the number of rods required for the length and width of the product. Do not forget that the distance between them should not exceed 7 centimeters.
Panels with rods can be placed on one side only; the side parts can be covered with solid elements. Another important point is fastenings. There can be several of them in a side crib. Some are necessary for reliable fixation of the berth, others for attaching the structure to the parent bed.
To prevent the child from accidentally getting hurt, you need soft upholstery. Along the entire length and width of the backs, it is enough to glue a padding polyester ball and cover it with a layer of dense natural fabric that does not cause allergies.
The easiest way is to buy a regular crib, in which you can remove the front panel and adjust the height of the bed. This “transformer” will serve you much longer and will come in handy when the child grows up a little.

An attached crib is a very convenient invention that is in great demand among parents. Following fashion and style, you should not choose a bed only by appearance. The most important thing is the material from which it is made. After all, the health of your child is much more important than the appearance of his bed!
Choosing a crib: round, oval or standard rectangular?
Expecting a baby is a happy, but also very exciting time for expectant parents. There are so many new questions to be solved! And many of them will affect the health, safety and development of the child. This also applies to the choice of crib. Which one to choose - round, oval or standard rectangular, what should you pay attention to? Experts will tell us about this today.
A crib is perhaps one of the first and most important major purchases (not counting a stroller) that future parents think about. How convenient, comfortable and safe it is, the more calm and satisfied the baby and the parents themselves will be.
First, you need to decide which crib is right for you.
Classic crib
A classic is something that does not become outdated over the years. Most likely, you slept in a classic rectangular crib when you were born. They are still popular due to their competitive price and convenience.
The standard dimensions of a rectangular crib are 120 by 60 cm. This is the size of the bed that Russian manufacturers usually make. For foreign cribs it may be a little larger - 125 by 65 cm. However, both models are designed for children aged from birth to 3-5 years.
In both cases we are talking about a classic rectangular crib, but different variations are possible.
Options
One of the also popular solutions is a transformable crib. As a rule, this is a crib combined with a changing table and a chest of drawers for children's things. When the baby grows up, the chest of drawers can be removed and used as a cabinet, and the crib “grows” in size up to 170 by 60 cm. A child from 7 years old can sleep on such a bed.
Another transformer option can be a crib, which, increasing in size, becomes, for example, a sofa.
A modern alternative is a playpen crib that can be easily moved and folded. It is convenient to take it with you on a trip, on vacation, or to visit relatives in another city. The baby can not only sleep in it, but also play. However, usually such cribs are made not from natural materials, but from synthetic fabrics on a metal frame.
What else can be provided in the crib:
- A pendulum is a special mechanism designed for comfortable rocking of a child. There are transverse and longitudinal. The transverse pendulum swings the crib from side to side, and the longitudinal pendulum swings in the direction from the head to the legs. The second option is considered more comfortable and physiological.
- Wheels or legs - it is more convenient to move the crib if necessary, but they must be fixed so that when the baby begins to rise in the crib, it does not roll around arbitrarily, and this does not cause the child to fall.
- Linen drawer - often located downstairs, under the crib. A very convenient thing, additional storage space that will definitely never be superfluous.
- Overlays on the sides are made of silicone, plastic or fabric. When your baby is teething, he will want to chew on the sides. The covers will protect the baby’s health (to prevent paint and varnish from getting into the mouth), and at the same time the crib itself from damage.
- Different bottom heights - may vary depending on the age of the child.
- Sliding wall - not provided in all cribs. Suitable for those parents who would like to add a crib to their own. In this case, you don’t have to get up at night to shift the baby: the baby is always nearby, but also sleeps separately. In principle, this is also convenient in terms of putting the baby to bed: it is easier to lower the baby into the crib with the wall moved, holding the baby in weight. There are also models with a wall that is completely retractable.
Advantages
Such cribs are widespread, the choice is huge in terms of colors, configurations, and price.
Flaws
If this is an ordinary crib, then when the child grows up, he will need to buy a new one. Transformers are more successful in this regard, but if you already have a chest of drawers and there is not enough space in the apartment, then the “bed and changing table” option will not be relevant.
Manufacturers and prices
Among the Russian manufacturers of economy class products one can highlight Agat, Krasnaya Zvezda, Kubanlesstroy, Vedruss, Papaloni. You can find budget options from 2.5–5 thousand rubles to 6–12 thousand rubles. More expensive and high-status cribs are produced by Giovanni, Pali, Baby Italia - these are Italian brands whose products cost from about 20 thousand rubles. However, there are also Russian products of the same class, for example, EllipseFurniture.
Who is it suitable for?
Among the classic models, you can choose an option for any budget and for a child’s age from birth to 3–5 years, as well as up to 7–10 years, if it is a transformable crib.
Round and oval crib
Experts note that a round or oval crib is more comfortable for the baby. There are no corners here, and the child feels as if in the womb, protected and calm.
The standard dimensions of such cribs are 97 by 55 cm. As a rule, the cradle is designed for a baby up to six months, however, options are possible here too.
Options
Perhaps the most famous oval crib is the cradle for a newborn. Such cradles, small and cozy, have been used by our ancestors for a long time. A modern cradle has the ability to adjust the height, rocking, and there are also electronic cradle with music.
Most often, such cradles also have a canopy that protects from light and dust.
This is interesting! By the way, in ancient times it was believed that the canopy protected not only from light or insects, but also from dark forces.
Therefore, the fabric was always trimmed by hand and decorated with lace. Only in families with little income could a sundress perform the function of a canopy. A more advanced version of an oval or round crib is a transformer, which has up to 7 (and sometimes up to 9) options:
- Option 1 - round cradle for a newborn. Can be used up to 6 months. The size of the sleeping place is 80 by 70 cm. The cradle has a holder for a canopy and is very mobile.
- 2nd option - changing table . Used together with the cradle for up to 6 months.
- 3rd option - the circle turns into an oval , expands with additional parts and becomes a crib for a baby aged from six months to three years. The standard bed size is 120 by 70 cm. As a rule, such cribs have several bottom heights and a removable wall, so the crib can be placed close to an adult.
- 4th option - playpen . Similar to the second option, only the bottom is shifted to the lowest position. This makes the crib a safe play space.
- 5th option - sofa size 120 cm . You can remove part of the wall and then your older child will be able to climb into and out of the crib himself.
- 6th option - sofa size 165 cm . For already very independent and self-confident preschoolers and even schoolchildren. A child up to 8 years old can easily fit in this crib.
- 7th option - armchairs . When the child grows out of the crib, it can be disassembled and divided into two chairs that can withstand weight up to 90 kg, and therefore are suitable for both adults and children.
And all these transformations are available for one crib!
Advantages
Cradles do not take up much space and can be easily moved around the apartment. For example, when mom is cooking, the baby can sleep next to him - it’s calmer. In addition, they are safer due to the absence of corners and are more comfortable for the child from the first days of life.
Oval transformable cribs are generally a real godsend for parents. You buy just one crib and get a safe, comfortable sleeping place for your child from birth to adolescence.
Flaws
You can use standard cradles for a very limited amount of time - up to a maximum of six months. Then the child grows out of it and you will have to buy a new crib, which is not always justified. However, when choosing oval transformable models, this problem will not arise, since the crib will grow with your baby.
Manufacturers and prices
As a rule, the price for oval and round transformable beds starts around 20 thousand rubles. The most famous manufacturers are EllipseFurniture, Mozhga, Sleep&Smile.
Who is it suitable for?
Cradles are especially relevant in small apartments. However, soon the baby will grow up, and you will have to buy a new bed. In this regard, oval transformable cribs will be appreciated by practical parents who know how to plan a budget.
At first glance, it seems that it is better to save money and buy a simpler crib, but in terms of conversion it turns out that oval cribs are more profitable. You benefit in the future by immediately purchasing a whole set of furniture for almost 10 years in advance.
Add-on cribs for newborns: reviews from parents
- Danilova Elizaveta, 25 years old. We bought a ComfortBaby Plus add-on crib for our baby. She looks very stylish and inspires confidence. In fact, my daughter is comfortable in it, cozy. It costs a lot (12,000 rubles), but we decided not to skimp on the child. Very happy with the purchase!
- Sorokina Ekaterina, 28 years old (St. Petersburg). My husband and I spent a long time choosing the right option. We settled on “Chicco Next2Me”. It looks very compact and convenient, but that's only in appearance! She barely attached herself to our bed. A month later the fastening completely fell off. Horror! This bed costs a lot of money, but the quality is zero.
- Zakharova Lyudmila, 22 years old (Dnepropetrovsk). We looked at the “Sleep Well” crib in the store. Looks beautiful and takes up little space. The price is reasonable. My son is comfortable and comfortable. It's easy for me to feed him when he's in it.
- Karpova Angelina, 21 years old (Novorossiysk). We use the Geuther Aladin side bed. We immediately liked the appearance; it is made in light colors, which has a good effect on sound sleep. The basis is only environmentally friendly wood. The price is high, but I am calm about the health of my child.
- Kharitonova Maria, 27 years old. We use a crib from Bednest. It is quite convenient, stylish, comfortable. Easily attaches to my husband and I's bed. Good choice, we are pleased.
- Alina Zolotukhina, 31 years old (Ekaterinburg). When my daughter was little, she slept in an “Elephant” bed. I liked her madly because she had only virtues. Sturdy frame and good fastening. It was very convenient to feed my daughter in it. I didn't have to bend over as much because the bed wasn't low.
Main advantages
By moving the baby crib close to the adult bed, you can save not only nerves and time, but also space. Modern apartments, especially studios, have limited space for organizing a sleeping area. If there is very little space in the apartment, an attached version of a children's bed will be very helpful.
- Mom does not need to get up for night feedings;
- Weaning your baby from co-sleeping is painless; you just need to disconnect the fasteners and install a removable backrest;
- Peace of mind for mother and child due to the close proximity of sleeping places;
- The ability to control the baby’s state during sleep;
- No problems associated with parents sleeping separately when a newborn arrives in the house.
The best option among the wide variety of products for children is an additional crib, equipped with all safe details: the width between the bars is up to 80 mm (it will protect the baby from falling out); no sharp corners around the perimeter; the ability to hide all small parts to avoid unscrewing.
Additionally, the kit often includes sides attached in a circle and a special screen - curtain. This detail is very convenient during sleep; just unfasten the zipper and the child is in the field of view, at the same time the curtain will protect him from an accidental wave of his mother’s hand during sleep.
Another popular option is an additional transformable crib. Initially, it looks like a standard model of an add-on product, gradually turning into a separate bed for a child up to 3 years old, and then into a bed for a teenager. Such a comfortable add-on crib will last a long time, but is much more expensive than regular, non-folding models.
Rules for replacing a bed
The sizes of children's beds are regulated by state standards. There are 4 groups in total, in which age is considered the most important characteristic. Furniture dimensions according to GOST:
- For children under 3 years old, the recommended dimensions of beds are: width - 0.6 m, length - at least 1.2 m. The height of the sides should be no higher than 0.95 m, otherwise it will be uncomfortable to lay the child down. Most models have lattice walls. The acceptable distance between the rods is 7.5 cm.
- In furniture for children from 3 to 7 years old, the width remains the same, but the length increases to 1.4 or 1.45 m. The latter value is typical for models from foreign manufacturers. The side barrier is removed and the height of the crib is raised 0.3 m from the floor.
- For schoolchildren under 10 years old, it is important to increase not only the length to 1.6 m, but also the width to 0.8 m. The height remains at the same level. If linen drawers are placed under the bed, it can become 10–20 cm higher.
- For children over 10 years old, the minimum product dimensions are 0.9 x 1.8 m with a height of at least 0.5 m. These parameters are also typical for adult single products.
Variety of children's beds, requirements for them, tips for choosing
The moment a child moves from one category to another indicates the need to replace the bed with a larger model. The figures indicated are standard, but average, and therefore do not suit absolutely everyone. Tall children need atypical beds. To independently determine the appropriate length, just add 35–50 cm to your height.
When choosing a children's bed, first of all you need to take into account the age, height, weight of the child. It is not necessary to strictly follow established standards; it is enough to take them as a basis. A responsible approach to organizing a sleeping place will be the key to a complete and comfortable rest for a child or teenager.
For children under 3 years old, the length of the sleeping place must be at least 120 cm
In a bed for children from 3 to 7 years old, the width remains the same, but the length increases to 140 cm
The optimal bed sizes for schoolchildren under 10 years old are 80 x 160 cm
For children over 10 years old, the length of the bed can be increased to 180 cm
Is the cradle practical?
I’ll say right away that I consider the cradle to be overkill. Although this type of furniture cannot be denied many positive qualities. Cradle:
- Cozy.
- It fits optimally in size for a newborn – the baby “doesn’t get lost” in it.
- The cradle uses small linen, it is easy to change the padding diaper.
- Attracts the eye and evokes affection.
- Takes up little space.
And one significant disadvantage is that it will last a maximum of 6 months. Therefore, it makes sense to buy a cradle for a fairly wealthy family that can afford to change the child’s crib once a year. And, to be honest, I wouldn’t refuse the cradle if we were given it to use for a while. This is such a beauty!
Pendulum bed or rocking chair?
How to choose? It’s better to decide right away whether you will rock the child. Yes, now experts often say that you can’t pump, motion sickness disrupts the baby’s development. In response, experienced grandmothers can answer that they were trained, and they grew up to be excellent people. Believe me, girls, this is not your hardest choice. So, you have decided that it would be better to rock your baby to sleep than to carry him in your arms all night, or to rock him to sleep on a fitball (especially if you have already had a negative experience with a “non-sleeping” older child).
You can download your baby in:
- A pendulum crib, when the base is suspended on bolts and swings from a push of the hand (to the sides, back and forth).
- Rocking bed - here the base is placed on runners or on an “arc”.
The pendulum bed is massive, bulky, with a complex system underneath. The rocking chair becomes uncomfortable when the child begins to stand on his feet. And if this drawback can be corrected by screwing in the wheels, you still won’t be able to attach a large crib anywhere. Therefore, it seems to me that it is better to take “swinging” pieces of furniture to a large house rather than to a small apartment.
What does an “added” crib mean?
All mothers have already heard about co-sleeping, but not everyone has tried what a miracle it is: the baby’s leg shining into the eye or the baby’s head under the mother’s armpit. When you're afraid to breathe for fear of waking you up. An additional cot is an “almost shared” sleep. The structure (wooden, plastic) is attached to the parents’ bed or placed at the edge of the parent’s bed. At the same time, the child is next to his mother, but in his own bed. This type of furniture has many advantages:
- The calm sleep of a child who feels his mother nearby.
- Peaceful sleep for a mother who is not afraid to crush her child.
- There is no need to get up and go to the crib if the child wakes up, just reach out and stroke him.
- It is easier to teach your child to fall asleep later in a separate crib.
There are also disadvantages, small, but noticeable to those who have tried to put the baby in an attached crib.
- The child still climbs into his parents’ bed to sleep!
- You can normally feed your baby only from one breast (left or right). To change breasts, you have to transfer the baby to a larger bed.
If desired, you can use a regular crib as an extension by simply removing some of the bars and moving the crib close to the large bed.
Models
Now you can find a huge number of different types and models, because there are more and more manufacturers and the choice is expanding. The most common:
- "Elephants" . The product is created in Siberia. The main material is birch. The cribs are designed for babies up to nine months. You can also purchase protection from soft sides. 70-80 dollars is the approximate price.
- Sleep Well – USA/Russia. The dimensions of these products are larger and are suitable for children under three years of age. Beds are made of beech, pine, ash. Approximate price: $200.
- Bednest – European production. Elegant, stylish, mobile. They fold easily, pack into a bag, and are not heavy, so you can even take them on trips. Approximate cost: $400.
- Chicco - made in Italy. Next2me models are suitable for babies up to 9 kilograms. These cribs are easy to fold and easy to install. The bottom can be placed in either a horizontal or inclined position. The beds themselves are light, weighing up to 10 kg.
There are many types and models of such cribs. There are models that turn into a table or playpen, as well as a place to play.
There are about six ways to adjust the height of the crib.
Many models are equipped with a special crossbar that closes the gap between two beds - an adult and a child.
There are also models that can be transformed into a regular bed - an additional side is included.
When parents buy such cribs, it immediately becomes clear why they are in such great demand. If you wish, you can order a crib from a designer, or a home craftsman can remake the bed or make an attachment yourself.

Transformers: from birth to wedding?
For a small apartment, where saving space is of great importance, a transformable crib is suitable. There are several types:
- Round cribs with a sliding bottom and additional rods.

The ideal transformer is a bed consisting of a large part and a small one. Let there be no chests of drawers or shelves. The main thing is that the small part is detached, and for the first time after the baby is born it is used as an attachment to the parents’ bed. It turns out that the crib can be used from the first days almost until the child reaches kindergarten age. Then the crib can be expanded using additional panels and rods.
We have only looked at the types, but how many other features they have: the material from which the furniture is made, the presence of wheels, the height of the bottom and its adjustment... We will definitely talk about all this, but now it’s time for us to say goodbye.
The main thing is to remember, no matter what you choose, you should like this furniture: it should please, warm, bring a feeling of satisfaction and tenderness. It’s so nice to think - oh, what a great fellow I am, I thought of everything so nicely!
We make it ourselves
Craftsman dads can make an additional crib for a newborn with their own hands.
To make it yourself, you will only need natural wood , an environmentally friendly mattress, well-polished rods and beams, as well as a set of tools (screwdriver, jigsaw, hammer, etc.).
When choosing components from oak, birch or pine, make sure that they do not have sharp corners or chips (this applies to boards and timber).
- After processing the boards on a machine, they make a frame from the beams.
- In the resulting base, holes are made on the longitudinal bars using a milling machine (about 6 pieces), which will subsequently be inserted into the frame. This will make the bottom of the crib , on which the mattress is laid.
- Make frames for the side elements and back . They can be solid (without rods). This way the work will be much easier and completed faster, and can be a square into which twigs will then be inserted. Here you should immediately think about the height of the legs of the crib so that it is really comfortable to use.
- The twigs are made from slats, the diameter of which must be at least 2 cm.
- Having made holes in the side parts and back, thick rods are inserted into them, which will connect the entire structure together.
- The finished product is coated with 2-3 layers of high-quality varnish, which will not emit an unpleasant odor and will not harm the baby’s health.
- Place the mattress on the bed and hang the curtains.
By making a side bed with your own hands, you will treat your baby with even more care and love. This type of furniture has long been in demand on the market and has won the love of many young and experienced parents, because raising a child with it becomes really easy and comfortable.
