All existing bed models are divided into several types and models:

1. Bunk bed for three children. The design of this product consists of two floors: on the first tier one person can sleep, and the second provides accommodation for two children at once. The model is made in the shape of the letter G. On the upper floor, children can sleep with their feet facing each other, and the baby on the lower tier chooses his own sleeping position. The dimensions of such a product are 320x200x170 cm, with the last indicator indicating the height of the model;
2. Three-story model for kids. This product completely replicates the standard two-tier model, but has one more floor. Climbing onto such a structure is not easy - you will need the help of your parents. Due to the limited height, this product is only suitable for children aged 3 to 7 years. The height of the structure is 170-180 cm, the width of the bed is 90 cm, and its length is 150 cm;
3. Wooden structure with additional accessories. The most popular type of bed for three children is a product similar to a bunk bed, but with an additional pull-out bed. It is located under the lower bed and allows you to comfortably accommodate 3 children at once. The height of the structure is 180 cm, the length of the bed is 200 cm, and the width is 95 cm.

Teenage beds have larger sizes, and products for kids are compact. Do not forget about the age of the children in order to choose the right place to sleep.

Types of structures

The design, which combines three sleeping places, is very convenient, especially for small rooms. Compact furniture frees up additional space. This allows you to expand the children’s play area and comfortably arrange a study corner for children. Modern products of this type are presented in different models.

Three-tier

The bed consists of three floors. The structure turns out to be very high (170–180 cm from the floor level), the width of one sleeping place is about 90 cm, the average length is 150–160 cm. The tiers can be located directly under each other. This option is the most compact; a three-tier bed allows you to save space to the maximum. However, aesthetically the model is not the most attractive, evoking associations with a reserved seat carriage, a dormitory, and even a prison cell. There are other disadvantages to such a bed: climbing to the top floor is dangerous, and the first tier will become the subject of quarrels among children, because not everyone wants to sleep at the very bottom, almost on the floor.

More attractive options for the arrangement of berths: L-shaped or in the shape of the letter “Z”. In this case, one of the floors is installed at an angle relative to the other two. The bed looks interesting, and there is additional storage space underneath.

Bunk

A popular option resembles a standard two-story model. However, the structure is complemented by a pull-out bed. The third berth is located under the first tier and is removed during the day, freeing up space. The structure is installed in a small room where three or more children live.

There are other ways to place beds on two tiers. Two children can sleep downstairs, one upstairs. Otherwise, the lower tier is occupied by one of the kids, the rest of the children are located on the second floor. Then an additional niche is formed below, which can be rationally used. Sleeping places that are at the same height are installed in one line or perpendicular to each other. The second structure can be conveniently placed in a corner to save maximum usable space.

Types of children's ottoman beds, recommendations for choosing them

Matryoshka bed

A structure that, when folded, represents a tall single bed, is very loved by many. Additional sleeping places are formed by sequentially extending the blocks, the principle is reminiscent of unfolding a nesting doll. Each bed varies in height and tucks under the other. The fully expanded structure resembles a ladder.

The compact model significantly saves space and helps to organize comfortable sleep for three children in one room. It is lower than other multi-tiered products, so it is safer. But there are some disadvantages. As a rule, nesting dolls do not have stairs, so you will have to climb up and down to the upper tiers by stepping over the child below. Another disadvantage: the size of the beds located on the second and first levels will be smaller than those of the upper bed.

The difference in parameters reaches 20 cm. Thus, the shortest length will be for the sleeping place, which is closer to the floor. For example, the top bed is 180 cm in length, the second in height is 160 cm, and the bottom bed is 140 cm, respectively.

Individual designs

If the dimensions of the room allow, it is best to install sleeping places for three children on the same level. Free-standing products will help avoid quarrels between kids, since everyone will be on an equal footing. In a large room, beds can be arranged like this:

• in one line close to the wall;
• parallel (two beds on one side, one on the other);
• headboards to one wall;
• letter "P";
• at an angle, L-shaped;
• in a checkerboard pattern.

With any arrangement method it is possible to get additional space in the room. To do this, choose beds equipped with spacious pull-out sections, or models with a podium equipped with storage niches. This approach allows you to minimize the amount of furniture in the room.

How does the gender of the child affect if you have

Children of different sexes tend to have a more difficult time getting along together. To choose a product for sleeping wisely, it is recommended to take a closer look at how gender affects living together.

Boy

Often, boys with a small age difference are prone to sincere, genuine friendship. If these are triplets, then friendship will become their main priority in the family. Large beds with combined sleeping places are perfect for these guys. Joint rest will turn into fascinating stories before bed, and it will be easier for parents to send their children to bed. Beds for 3 boys are produced in the following colors:

• A blue and white bed made of wood, where the sides are made in blue, and the staircase is decorated with white paints;
• A bright bed of several colors: each color symbolizes the sleeping section for a specific boy;
• The combination of blue and light green shades lifts the mood and cheers up children;
• A three-tier bed with a pull-out bed, made in a nautical style: on one side there is a staircase to the top, which serves as a closet.

Girl

Manufacturers allow you to order beds for three children according to your own drawings: this greatly simplifies planning the space in the room. Choosing a bed for 3 girls is not difficult: little ones are often friendly if they are of a similar age. Several design options for women:

• Orange combined with yellow: a good option for adding warm colors to a room;
• Drawings and stencils on large surfaces of the product are often made by manufacturers for babies;

In this case, a bed separated by additional furniture is suitable: for example, a closet where toys are stored.

Several design options for children of different sexes:

1. Beds for two children are on the same plane, and for a child of the opposite sex - on the second tier. The size of such a bed will be 440x365x172 cm;
2. Beds for two teenagers are arranged on two tiers, and the third sleeps on a sofa built into the structure. Then the child’s sleeping place is in a separate area. The overall dimensions of the structure are 230x340x120 cm;
3. All three beds are separated by additional elements. The first tier contains one bed, and the second tier is divided into 2 beds: on the left there is one sleeping place, with a wardrobe under it. On the opposite side there is a storage area. The dimensions of this product will be 310x200x170 cm.

In a family with three children, you should give preference to different designs: initially ask everyone about color tastes. Bright beds are always in fashion, so it is better to choose them. Traditional design in pink and blue tones for different genders may also be present.

From the bottom of my heart I want to express my gratitude and gratitude for such a fruitful and successful cooperation - with the help of your craftsmen, we realized our idea with a 3-tier bed!!! It turned out great: it looks good and is much cheaper than the original!!!

In general, it is quite problematic to find a variety of multifunctional but compact furniture for children's rooms. ...

I plan to continue our cooperation with you, as I plan to “depict” something compact in the form of a cabinet with a roll-out table. Unfortunately, due to family contradictions that have arisen, we are forced to “freeze” any undertakings:(((The fact is that in the process of “working” on the bed, the idea arose to decorate the children’s room in the style of “Space City of the Future”. We selected a picture for the luminous photo wallpaper (picture American artist Robert McCall), planned to order photo curtains “View from the ISS porthole window.” That is why our bed acquired such a unique color scheme!

We didn’t renovate our room “before the bed arrived” because we didn’t know ourselves and…. were afraid of the upcoming “space” construction.

However, everything had to be stopped for an indefinite period. Alas.

In the process of selecting materials for the facade, designer Sergei suggested a film with a “metallic” effect - a special BIG THANK YOU to him!!! Very good look!!! However, I asked him to “decorate” the tabletop itself, since it is the center one and quite a lot of attention goes to it! SHE CAN'T BE SIMPLE!!! But something “didn’t work out”... Sergei competently argued the reasons (children will scribble and leave stripes). But CHILDREN scribble on any surface!!!! And I really regret that I “faltered” and did not insist on decorating the tabletop with a film for the facade (blue/blue):((((Later I even wanted to order separate overlay panels…..

In general, help me “tune” our space module: cover the tabletop and the shelf behind it with sides with the film of the desired color! What about children…. Oh, these kids!!!

AND…. Can there be a name by the bed? It is not tied to space themes, it is universal. Bed named BLOOMSBERRY.

1. It is better to choose a base and mattress with an orthopedic or anatomical effect.
2. The material for a children's bed should be safe, durable, resistant to aggressive influences, and easy to clean. Preference should be given to natural wood.
3. The size of the structure must be compared with the dimensions of the room; the bed must fit organically into the layout, without cluttering the space and allowing the installation of additional furniture.
4. When selecting product parameters, the age of each child is taken into account; the upper floors are not suitable for children under 5–6 years old. It is better to accommodate older children on the second and third tiers; accordingly, the sleeping places there will be larger.
